Abstract:
Reinforcing cable comprising at least two components, a first component comprising steel wires and a second component comprising filaments of aromatic polyamides, characterised in that the stress-strain behaviour of the one component is adapted to the stress-strain behaviour of the other component by changing the strain, preferably the material strain, in such a way that the tearing strengths of the two components are approximately added. In this case, it is of advantage if in the case of the first component each steel wire has an approximately rectangular cross-section, the edges of which are rounded, and is twisted.
