Title:
LUBRICATING OIL RACING PUMP FOR VESSEL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5938195
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To avoid the use of changeover switches used for a backward movement and complicated piping while enabling a reduction gear to be lubricated by making use of the racing of a propeller at the forward towing of a vessel by driving a lubricating oil pump on the propeller shaft side via an one-way clutch.

CONSTITUTION: A pump 15 for reduction gear lubtication is driven by a gear 44 interlocked with a propeller side rather than a reduction gear clutch side, and an one-way clutch 56 is provided on a pump driving shaft 50. Hereby, the seizure of the reduction gear is eliminated since the pump 15 is operated at vessel towing where the vessel is often in a forward movement to lubricate the reduction gear. Moreover, changeover valves for a backward movement and complicated piping are made unnecessary.
