PURPOSE: To contrive to reduce thickness and to eliminate the wastefulness of a deodorant, by providing a lid material to the suction port of a fan casing so as to correspond to the center position of an impeller and providing a hole to a deodorizing filter to inlay the same with the aforementioned lid material.
CONSTITUTION: Air sucked into a main body case from the suction port 18 thereof is passed through a prefilter 13 to remove coarse dust and further passed through a dust removing filter 14 to remove the residual dust while the treated air is deodorized by a deodorizing filter 15 and emitted from an emitting port grid 24 through the wind tunnel part 22 of a sirocco fan. Herein, the deodorizing filter 15 is provided with a central hole 31 and inlaid with a lid body part 30 so as to introduce the leading end of the output shaft of a motor 25 into said hole 31. Therefore, even if the thickness reduction on the whole is attained, the length of a part where a nut 27 for attaching the impeller 12 of the motor shaft is screwed can be elongated sufficiently. By providing the hole 31, the deodorizing effect of this part is not obtained but there is no problem because this part is the central part of the impeller 12 and is reduced in air passing amount and rather the wasteful use of a deodorant is eliminated.
