Abstract:
PURPOSE:To reproduce L/R sterophonic sound signals at the same time by superimposing the L/R digital sound signals on a transmission line to transfer them. CONSTITUTION:The stereophonic sound is inputted separately for L/R and each is coded into 8 bits by A/D converting sections 7, 8 and 8-bit coders 9, 10. The coded data is synthesized into 16 bits by a bit converting section 11 and the high-order 8 bits are used as the L and the low-order 8 bits are used as the R data and then they are synthesized. The distinction whether the recorded sound signal is stereophonic or monaural is recorded as a code together with the sound signal. Thus, the data is transferred while using the same transmission line at the same time and simultaneous reproduction of L/R is attained easily.
