Abstract:
PURPOSE:To enhance the rate of fuel consumption, even in case the locking-up is released because of full closing of the throttle during the torque converter being in the condition of lock-up operation, by putting the lock-up operating line in eccentricity, widening the operating range, and restituting to the operating condition. CONSTITUTION:A lock-up control device is equipped with a lock-up mechanism, which couples the input and output members of a torque converter, and a control means, which controls operation and release of said lock-up mechanism in accordance with signals given by an engine number-of-revolutions sensor 208 and a load sensor 207 by reference to the lock-up release line Loff and lock-up operating line Lon,, which are previously entered in an electronic control circuit 200. This lock-up control device puts the lock-up operating line in eccentricity toward the lock-up release line Loff side by an eccentricity means to widen the operating range if the locking-up is released because of full closing of throttle 206 during running is locked-up condition, so as to provide locking-up even though coordinates are interposed between the operating line Lon and release line Loff having existed since before.
