Title:
DEVICE FOR MEASURING FLOW SPEED AND FLOW RATE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5855818
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To perform measurement up to a high temperature region highly sensitively, by offsetting the difference in thermal expansion caused between a force receiving body and stress detecting part and insulators by the difference in thermal expansion between the force receiving body and a fixed body.

CONSTITUTION: When fluid to be measured flows in a pipe 1, an alternating force F shown by an arrow is acted on the force receiving body 2 by Karman vortex, and stress variation in the reverse directions is generated on both sides of the central axis of the force receiving body 2. Stress detecting parts 4a and 4b, which are provided in a concave part 22, are arranged on both sides of a position A, where stress (bending moment Mα) yielded in the force receiving body 2 by disturbing force P becomes zero, and compressed and fixed 7 together with the insulators 6a, 6b, and 6c which are arranged on both surfaces, of the detecting parts 4a and 4b. The depth L of the concave part 22 is determined so that the difference in the thermal expansion caused between the force receiving body 2 and stress detecting parts 4a and 4b and the insulators 6a, 6b, and 6c is just offset by the difference in the thermal expansion caused between the force receiving body 2 and the fixed body 7.
