Title:
PLASTIC SUBSTRATE FOR LIQUID CRYSTAL PANEL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6073616
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To enable the adhesion of plastic substrates to a third film in a sealed state by coating the substrates with urethane acrylate modified polybutadiene resin to form plastic substrates one of which is optically inactive.

CONSTITUTION: Plastic substrates at least one of which is optically inactive are coated with urethane acrylate modified polybutadiene resin to form plastic substrates for a liq. crystal panel. The urethane acrylate modified polybutadiene resin is easily polymerized when irradiated with ultraviolet rays or heated, and it is rigid, flexible and proof well against alkali and acid. One side of a resin such as polyether sulfone is coated with the polybutadiene resin to 1W100μm thickness by roll coating, printing or other method. A good solvent for the resin such as DMF may be added so as to increase the adhesive strength.
