PURPOSE: To prepare the titled emulsion preparation for medical use, containing ultra-fine particles stable for a long period, having excellent property to be excreted from the living body, and useful as an organ conservation perfusate, etc. necessary to erythrocyte substitute and organ transplantation, by using a specific perfluoro-compound as an oxygen transporting component.
CONSTITUTION: The perfluoro-compound of formula which may be substituted with preferably one perfluoromethyl group at arbitrary position, e.g. perfluoro-N- cyclohexylpyrrolidine etc. is roughly emulsified by mixing a nonionic polymer surface active agent having a molecular weight of 2,000W20,000, with a jet mixer an emulsifier such as phospholipid (e.g. egg yolk phospholipid) and a medium such as lactated Ringer's solution, and homogenized to a particle diameter of ≤0.3μ using a homogenizer such as a jet mixer. The obtained preparation is an O/W-type emulsion composed of oil particles dispersed in water, and the amount of the perfluoro-compound of formula is 5W50W/V%, preferably 10W40W/V%.
