Title:
ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHIC SENSITIVE MATERIAL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6010257
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent penetration during application of an insulating layer and to obtain an electrophotographic sensitive material good in durability by dispersing a fine silica powder in the resin of a filler layer in the electrophotographic sensitive material composed of a photoconductive layer, the filler layer, and an insulating layer.

CONSTITUTION: An electrophotographic sensitive material is formed by laminating on a substrate a photoconductive layer obtained by dispersing a photoconductor into a resin, a filler layer, and an insulating layer, and a fine silica powder is dispersed into the filler layer or a resin used for said layer to give the following thixotropic characteristics: When external work is given to the said layer, by circulation or the like, a state of usual resin paint is exhibited, but when it is allowed to stand still, it loses fluidity, hence, when it is applied as the filler layer, its fluidity is lost and does not invade into the voids of the photoconductive layer, thus permitting formation of an electrophotographic sensitive material good in durability.
