Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5926274
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent an ink from being scattered and largely enhance print quality, by a method wherein the surface of a platen is constituted of an elastic member so as to have a surface hardness of 60W85° as measured by a spring- type hardness tester.

CONSTITUTION: In an ink-type wire dot printer adapted to print by adhering an ink to the tip of a wire, the surface of the platen is constituted of the elastic member, the surface hardness of which is set to be in the range of 60W85° on the scale of the hardness tester when measured by a spring-type hardness testing method (type A) specified in JIS-K6301-1975. Accordingly, scattering of the ink is extremely suppressed, a copying capability is provided, and print quality in the ink-type wire dot printer is largely enhanced.
