Abstract:
PURPOSE:To control a pickup to position it accurately on an information track, by detecting the position of the pickup on the information track depending on the difference between two tracking signals, and using this detected signal. CONSTITUTION:When an RF output signal is applied to a terminal 8, AGC is applied to tracking signals fP1, fP2 through a low pass filter 9 at an AGC circuit 10. The tracking signals fP1, fP2 applied with the AGC are inputted to band pass filters 11, 12. The filters 11, 12 pass through the tracking signals fP1, fP2 respectively, which are given to a differential amplifier 13. The differential amplifier 13 detects an output level difference between the incoming tracking signals fP1, fP2 and is operated. A switching signal fP3 only among the RF output signals applied to the terminal 8 is passed through in a band pass filter 14 and processed in an fP3 processing circuit 15.
