PURPOSE: To improve the softening and melting property and fluidity of coal in carbonization and obtain coke having a high strength after hot reaction, by changing over the feed rate of a fuel in a specific period in a program heating method.
CONSTITUTION: In a program heating method of changing the feed rate of a fuel in the respective steps in a carbonization process of coal in a coke oven, the initial changeover of the high flow rate in the initial carbonization period to the low flow rate containing zero flow rate is carried out on arrival of the central temperature of the coal packed in the carbonization chamber at 350W700°C, preferably 400W650°C to perform the fuel control of the coke oven.
EFFECT: Time of only carbonization is reduced, and the quantity of heat required for carbonization is reduced.
