Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent breakage in a stepless speed changer, by calculating the real speed change ratio from the rotational speed on the input side and that on the output side, and comparing this result with the standard speed change ratio to be determined based on the pulley position, which corresponds to the position of the axially movable member of the pulley, and thereby detecting a slip of the V belt from the difference of these speed change ratios. CONSTITUTION:There are provided detecting means 40 of the rotational speed on the driving pulley side, detecting means 96 of the rotational speed on the driven pulley side, and detecting means 87 of the position of a movable member in the axial direction of the pulley. The outputs from these detecting means 40, 86, 87 are input to a control apparatus 100, wherein the real speed change ratio is calculated from the rotational speeds on the driving side and driven side, and, when the difference between the standard speed change ratio for the pulley position and the real speed change ratio becomes larger than a predetermined value, it is judged that there exists a slip of the V belt and an alarming device 130 is actuated. Thus, the slip of the V belt is found out at an early stage and therefore the breakage in the stepless speed changer is prevented.
