PURPOSE: To carry out the plane for a cost reduction, etc. by welding along the gage constraining the outer face of the side wall of a rail and the outer face of the upper wall after the bend work of an iron plate and angle member.

CONSTITUTION: The laminating material of a bend worked iron plate 3 in advance is used as an opposite side wall 2 to an iron rail 1. The parallel arranged material of the angle member 5 which is bent in advance is then used as a upper wall 4. The positioning is performed then with making these materials going along with the gage A having the constraining face (a) of the outer face of the side wall of the rail and the constraining face (b) of the outer face of the upper wall in the order of the outside member from the inside member, thereafter, it is made in one body with welding the edge of the contact part. The work of the rail and assembly with weld are made easy and the cost can be reduced by this method. Further the constraint on the aspect of equipments is reduced as well and the production of long-sized rail is enabled.
