Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent the end abutment of a pad by providing the pad and a disc plate in a manner in which the angle between the pad and the disc plate is adjustable, in the disc brake provided with a servo arm supporting a pad holder movable in the rotational direction of the disc plate. CONSTITUTION:A servo arm 15 acts to move a pad holder 9 on the side X towards the rotational direction of the disc plate 12 when the pad holder 9 is applied with pressure by a piston 4. This servo arm is axially supported at its end on a support plate 16 provided in a main body 1 and also at its another end on an arm 19 provided at the end part of a pad holder 9 by a shaft 18. An adjusting screw 21 which brings its tip end into contact with the end surface 9a of the pad holder 9 is fastened by screw to a projected member 20 cut up in the perpendicular direction. The end surface 9a of the pad holder 9 which the screw 21 contacts is formed on a plane includng the centerline of the shaft 18. A spring 23 defines the rotation of the servo arm 15.
