PURPOSE: To enable the extraction of energy at a high efficiency from light received by arranging solar batteries about a time piece movement to ease the interception of light with hands taking advantage of incorporation thereof into the case.

CONSTITUTION: A dial plate 1 is mounted on a back case 2. A ring-shaped movement mounting wall 3 is provided at the center of the back case 2 and a time piece movement 4 is fitted thereinto. A ringshaped wall supporting wall 5 is provided concentrical with the movement mounting wall 3 and a printed board 7 where solar batteries 6 are arranged circumferentially is fitted between the movement mounting wall 3 and the ring-shaped supporting wall 5. Twelve of the solar batteries 6 are arranged at an equal space and exposed to the front from an internal hole of the dial plate 1. Through holes 10 and 11 for receiving light are formed on a hour hand 8 and a minute hand 9 mounted to an output shaft of the movement at the parts corresponding to the solar batteries 6.
