PURPOSE: To reduce the number of parts and the man-hour for assembling to reduce the cost by forming a press-fitting groove, which a blade holder is press-fitted to and held in, in a case.

CONSTITUTION: A cleaning device 16 is provided with press-fitting grooves 33 and 33, to which a blade holder 32 of a cleaning blade is press-fitted, in both end parts of a case 30. Press-fitting grooves 33 and 33 are press-fitted to press-fitting piece parts 32a and 32a of the blade holder 32 and are press- fitted further while allowing second elastic holding pieces 36 and 36 to escape to escape grooves 40 and 40 and are held by a pair of elastic holding parts 37 and 37. Thereafter, the front end of the cleaning blade is elastically pressed to the surface of a photosensitive body 12 to remove remaining toner 42, and this toner is recovered to a proper part of the cleaning device 16. Thus, screws to hold the blade holder 32 are unnecessary, and the number of parts is reduced to reduce the cost.
