Abstract:
PURPOSE:To facilitate the connection between a lead substrate and a lamp base by a method wherein an LED unit is mounted, on the side of the upper surface aperture of a cylindrical spacer, into an integral body by projection and recess fitting, and the lower surface side is likewise mounted on the lamp base. CONSTITUTION:For the lamp unit 1, the LED's 5 are mounted on base 4a bent in the upper part of the lead substrate 4, wired 6, and formed into an integral body with a transparent resin 7 by exposing only end parts of leads 4b. Projections 7a fitted by projection and recess to vertical grooves 12a of the spacer 2 are convexly provided at the base end of the resin 7. The tips or connection terminals 4b1 and 4b2 of the leads 4b projected from the lower end of the lamp unit 1 and a resistor 8 are inserted into a hole 11a of the receiving base 11 of the cylindrical spacer 2, the vertical grooves 12a on the peripheral wall fit to the projections 7a of the unit 1, and the terminal 4b1 is introduced to a groove 12b. Further, projections 12c are made to fit to grooves 31 of the lamp base 3, and therefore the lead out part of the terminal 4b1 corresponds to a groove 32. This constitution facilitates the connection between the lead substrate and the lamp base, and it is most appropriate for mass production.
