PURPOSE: To prevent dropping of pile string by laminating a synthetic resin film on the rear face of cloth then tufting a pile string to base cloth thereafter thermally fusing said film and pressure cooling to fix the pile string.

CONSTITUTION: When manufacturing, synthetic resin film 2 is first laminated onto the rear face of base cloth 1 such as polyester Then a pile string 3 such as nylon is tufted to said base cloth 1 to form a loop 5 with the pile string 3 on the surface of base cloth 1 while the root section 5' of pile string 3 is projected at the interface between the base cloth 1 and said film 2. Thereafter said film 2 is thermally fused, pressurized and cooled to catch and secure said root section 5' in said film 2. Consequently backing process for preventing dropping of pile string can be achieved easily.
