PURPOSE: To utilize the titled device as a multi-purpose and multifunction display device by connecting freely attachably and detachably a function selecting equipment to a display main body using a cathode-ray tube.

CONSTITUTION: Device accommodating pockets 13, 14 are provided to a front face of the display main body 10 provided with a cathode-ray tube 11. A TV tuner pack 20 and an RGB pack 30 as an equipment selecting equipment are mounted freely attachably and detachably respectively in the pockets 13 and 14. Then the TV tuner pack 20 and the RGB pack 30 are provided respectively with a required electronic circuit and when they are mounted respectively in the accommodating pockets 13, 14 the electronic circuit is connected to a prescribed electronic circuit in the main body 10 through contacts. The display device is utilized as a multi-purpose and multi-function display device of such formation.
