Abstract:

PURPOSE: To feed fuel without causing the shortage, by performing injection before the intake top dead center of a prescribed cylinder by the range of a prescribed crank angle in such a manner that ignition timing is aligned to prescribed cylinder intake timing of at least half the number of synchronous injection cylinders.

CONSTITUTION: A control circuit 50 calculates a basic injection time Tp from an intake quantity Q of a flow meter 16 and speed N by a crank angle sensor 22, further performs necessary correction to obtain an effective synchronous injection time τ1, add a response delay time τv of an injector 44 and calculate a synchronous injection time τs, and the injectors 44 of all cylinders are opened altogether by the time τs to perform injection in a manifold 42. Timing of this synchronous injection is aligned to air intake timing of at least half the number of simultaneously injected cylinders, for instance, in case of a straight-type 6- cylinder engine, the timing is arranged to within a range 60W100° before the intake top dead center of cylinders No.1 and 6. Accordingly, a required amount of fuel can be fed in effective timing without causing the shortage.
