Abstract:

PURPOSE: To properly support an internal combustion engine in all operation states by supporting the internal combustion engine using a rubber vibration insulator unit whose spring constant is varied and varying the above-mentioned spring constant depending on the number of rotations at partial cylinder operation or full cylinder operation.

CONSTITUTION: A rubber vibration insulator unit 32 is a variable control type one whose spring constant or damping coefficient is varied. The corresponding rubber vibration insulator unit 32 is formed by connecting a frame body 1 and a cylindrical member 2a using a rubber tupe annular wall element 5. The inner part of the cylindrical member 2a is partitioned vertically into fluid chambers 6 and 8 or 9 by a partition plate 2c and the lower chambers 8 and 9 are partitioned into two chambers 8 and 9 by a diaphragm 7. The chambers 6 and 8 are connected by the open path 11 of the partition plate 2c and are sealed with viscous fluid. The open area of the above-mentioned 11 is controlled by a valve element 16 driven by a solenoid device 18, which varies the spring constant. In addition, the excitation of the solenoid device 18 is controlled depending on the number of rotations at the partial cylinder operation or full cylinder operation of an engine.
