Title:
LEAD SCREW FOR HEAD SHIFT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS608563
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To facilitate production and reduce the cost by forming a screw groove in a shape that part of a groove bottom is not hidden by the tip of the groove in a lead screw made of synthetic resin used for the head shift of a printing head of a printer, etc. CONSTITUTION:When providing a spiral groove 7 on the peripheral surface of a lead screw 9, a cross section shape is formed so that a bottom is shrunk by L and side walls are slanted and the following equation is satisfied, L>=P/360. [cos<-1>(r.sintheta/2)/R-cos<-1>sintheta/2], where L is the shrinkage of the bottom on one side, P is the pitch of the groove 7, R and (r) are the radius of the lead screw 9 and the groove bottom, theta is the flute spacing angle (center angle) of a mold. Thereby, an undercut section that part of the groove bottom is hidden by the outer edge section of the groove 7 is never generated, thus a lead screw can be easily produced by the plastic molding.
