PURPOSE: To analyze the streak image of a high-speed repetitive pulsed light in a wide dynamic range, by using a photoelectron multiplier as a photoelectric transducer.
CONSTITUTION: First, a delay time control signal generator 10 is started, and next, a dye laser oscillator 1 is started. This laser pulsed light is made incident to a hematoporphyrin derivative 4 through a beam splitter 2 to emit fluorescence. The light is projected to a photoelectric source 31 of a streak tube 3 by an optical system consisting of lenses 16 and 17 and a slit plate 15. Electrons discharged in accordance with the incident image are accelerated by an electric field and are moved toward a deflecting electrode 33 and a fluorescent face 34. The laser pulsed light branched by the beam splitter 2 is converted to an electric signal by a PIN photodiode 5 and is inputted to a delay circuit 7 through an amplifier 6. The streak image on the fluorescent face 34 which is focused on a slit plate 11 is multiplied by a photoelectron multiplier 12.
