PURPOSE: To perform photographing without spoiling the flatness of a film while detecting and reading film perforations as film information securely through a film information detecting member.
CONSTITUTION: The detecting member 1 rotates by the engagement of detection pawls 1a according to the number of film perforations FH made in the film F. Once the film perforations FH comes to the end, the detecting member 1 is pressed by the film F and forced to move to a stand-by position to stop rotating. The rotation of the detecting member 1 is transmitted through a film information setting gear 5 to a signal setting gear 7, which rotates at an angle corresponding to the number of the film perforations FH. A ratchet pawl 15 while preventing the gear 7 from reversing allows it to rotate normally and a return spring 13 is charged. A signal setting slide brush 9 slides on the resistor 11a of a resistance substrate during the rotation of the gear 7, which determines a resistance value corresponding to a stopping position. This resistance value is used as a film speed in exposure arithmetic. In this case, the film information detecting member stays at the stand-by position where it is pressed by the film during photographing and no influence upon the flatness of the film is exerted.
