Abstract:

PURPOSE: To improve the reliability of measurement for both pulse and Campbell measuring systems, by amplifying the neutron flux detecting signal of a wide band which is detected out of a reactor pressure container after separating said signal into high and low frequencies and then carrying out the prescribed amplification within each band.

CONSTITUTION: A wide band preamplifier 34 is connected to the output side of a neutron flux detector 30 for wide band which is provided within a reactor pressure container via a coaxial cable 32. A low input impedance type high frequency amplifier 36 and a high input impedance type low frequency amplifier 38 are connected in parallel to the amplifier 34. The output supplied from the detector 30 is supplied to amplifiers 36 and 38 after the separation of frequency. A pulse amplifier 40 and a high band Campbell amplifier 42 are connected in parallel to the rear stage of the amplifier 36. At the same time, a low band Campbell amplifier 44 is connected to the rear stage of the amplifier 38. In such a constitution, the reliability of measurement is improved for both pulse measuring system and Campbell measuring system.
