Abstract:

NEW MATERIAL:2'-Deoxyoxanosine of formula I .

USE: An antibacterial agent and carcinostatic agent.

PREPARATION: The objective compound of formula I can be prepared by protecting the 3'- and 5'-hydroxyl groups of oxanosine of formula II, converting the 2'-hydroxyl group of the resultant 3',5'-O-diprotected oxanosine of formula IIIto phenoxythiocarbonyl to obtain the oxanosine derivative of formula IV, reducing the derivative to eliminate the 3'-phenoxythiocarbonyloxy group, and finally eliminating the 2'-deoxy-3',5'-O-diprotected group from the product.
