PURPOSE: To enable the contents of display to be understood easily and to save energy by a method wherein in the titled apparatus provided with a digital control section, a digital temperature input is displayed analogously through a plurality of segments arranged in a line and a lamp for illuminating a temperature display section is not used ordinarily.

CONSTITUTION: A heating apparatus is so constructed that a time display section 7' used exclusively for the display of heating time, the temperature display section 10 used exclusively for the display of heating temperature, a heating time inputting digital key 6' and a heating temperature inputting digital key 9' are provided on an operation panel 3. The temperature display section 10 is so formed that it displays analogously a digitized set temperature through the segments arranged in a line. Further, the operation panel 3 is so formed that in the ordinary condition, the time display section 7' displays hours while the temperature display section 10 displays nothing, but when the keys 6' or 9' is operated, the time display section 7' is turned to display heating time and the temperature display section 10 makes an initial display urging the setting of a heating temperature.
