CONSTITUTION: An amorphous iron base alloy comprises 5W22.5 atom% P, 25 atom% or less C, 15W35 atom% P+C, 1.5W35atom% Cr and the remainder substantially Fe. In addition, this amorphous alloy can be continuously adapted to cold processing and, for example, in order to obtain a uniform amorphous fine wire having high tensile rupture strength and high elongation, a commercial diamond die is used and wire drawing is performed to make it possible to prepare the same economically.
