PURPOSE: To obtain a small-sized crystal oscillator which has less variation in electric characteristics due to airtight sealing and has superior impact resistance by fitting a crystal element between opening part provided to a coil spring and sealing it airtightly.
CONSTITUTION: The support structure of the crystal element 43 is made of such a metallic holding member that a coil 35 is wound around an inner lead 31 connecting with an external lead 32 and a wire 36 is extended horizontally from a terminal of the inner lead of the coil 35 to outside the long side of a base material to wind a coil spring 37 around its terminal part horizontally. The crystal element 43 is fitted with a conductive adhesive between mutually facing opening parts 38 and 38 provided above at least ≥2 turns of the coil spring 37 from the bottom, and sealed airtightly with a metallic cap 44. This crystal oscillator sealed airtightly by using said structure has almost no variation due to sealing stress and superior impact resistance.
