Abstract:
PURPOSE:To expand an overall system and to enhance reliability by backing up credit account transaction data, depending up on the contract, at the backup center which each credit card issuing company has established. CONSTITUTION:The credit account transaction processing system is composed of credit account transaction system (CATS) 10 installed as a terminal at participating members' stores, card company centers 10a, 10b- established individually by credit card issuing company, and the backup center 20 established jointly by credit card issuing companies. The card company centers 10a, 10b-, and backup center 20 are connected to the CATS10 through a telephone subscriber circuit. The backup center 20 is connected to each card company center through the exclusive circuit. The setting of the party to be transmitted for by credit card issuing company is conducted with credit card companies' own cards 30a, 30b-.
