Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent damages due to collision, by supporting one end of a cuntilever having a stylus at another end to a pickup case freely rotatably having an opening at the bottom and holding the stylus in the case when it is not loaded. CONSTITUTION:One end of a cuntilever 2 having one end of a stylus 1 is held freely rotatably to a case with a supporting point elastic body 3 and a latch member 5 prevents the stylus 1 from being projected. In inserting a case 6 to a carriage 8, moving the carriage to a specified position and closing a cover 12, the case 6 is pressed with a spring 13, and a latch member 5 contacts a projection 16 at the bottom of the carriage 8 to release the latch between the cuntilever 2 and the latch member 5. A voltage is applied to a core 17 providing with stylus pressure of the cover 12 opposing to a magnet 18 of the cuntilever 2 to turn the cuntilever 2 and the stylus 1 contacts a disc 19. In opening the cover 12 with a lock means 14, the cuntilever 2 is elevated. Thus, the stylus 1 is contained in the case 6 except at the operation to prevent damages.
