Abstract:
PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency of power transmission through reducing resistance and loss of heat by forming a closed circuit circulating a compressor driven by a power shaft and a rotary machine driven by gas pressure and filling the closed circuit with the light gas such as helium and the like. CONSTITUTION:A closed circuit of fluid is formed by connecting the exhaust side of a compressor 2 driven by a power shaft 1 to the air intake side of a rotary machine 3 driven by the fluid pressure and also connecting the air intake side of the compressor 2 to the exhaust side of the rotary machine 3 by means of air introducing pipes 4, 5 respectively. The closed circuit is filled with light gas such as helium, hydrogen and the like as a medium for power. Further, an air separator 6, pressure absorption tank 7 and a gas replenishment device 9 are provided in the middle of the air introducing pipe 5. At the time of letting the light gas flow through driving the compressor 2 and transmitting the rotatory power to the rotary machine 3 by means of this device, improvement of efficiency as the power transmission device can be attained due to slight resistance and loss of heat because the medium is a light gas.
