PURPOSE: To control the molecular orientation of spun yarn, by applying a magnetic field in the direction approximately parallel to the spun yarn between a spinneret and a winder.
CONSTITUTION: The magnetic field generator 2 for applying a magnetic field approximately parallel to the spun yarn Y to it is set between the spinneret 1 and the winder 4. The magnetic field generator 2 is preferably a solenoid type, and especially preferably consists of super conductive magnet. The magnetic field may be direct current or alternating current, and the maximum strength of the magnetic field is preferably ≥10 kilogauss, especially ≥30 kilogauss. The spinning is carried out any of wet spinning, dry spinning, and melt spinning, and the increase in the strength of magnetic field is required in case of melt spinning.
