Abstract:
1. Sock provided with a holding device consisting of bent flexible holding elements extending in the peripheral direction of the inner surface of the leg portion of the sock for holding the position of the sock on the leg of the wearer, said holding elements being curved yarn having a convex curvature or bulge, characterized in that the height (h) of the curvature of the holding elements (4) in the slack condition is about 0.3 to 1.5 times the length (1) of the holding element (4).
