PURPOSE: To prevent non-uniform winding of a roll of magnetic tape by energizing a pressing member provided within a certain range from a part where said roll of magnetic tape is brought in contact with a winding hub, towrad the center side of said winding hub and pressing said roll of magnetic tape against said winding hub side.

CONSTITUTION: If the winding condition of a roll of magnetic tape 25 wound around a hub 26 is loose and liable to be shifted up and down, the roll of tape 25 is pressed against the hub 26 side by means of a pressing roller 32, fixing the vertical position of the hub 26 and, thereby, the height of the roll of tape 25 wound around the hub 26 becomes uniform, preventing the damage of the roll of tape 25 caused by non-uniform winding. Furthermore, since an inclined part 41 formed on a supporting arm 37 for the pressing roller 32 introduces a high-pressure air stream flown out from a tape feeding port 22, to a tape winding part 24 side along the arm 37, the free end of a length of tape 25 which is transported by the high pressure air stream is surely introduced between the roller 32 and the hub 26.
