Title:
HEAT SENSITIVE RECORDING MATERIAL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5938090
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a recording at a high printing density without dissipating heat reaching a heat-sensitive layer by providing a heat-sensitive color forming layer on a support and a layer mainly composed of fine hollow spherical particles as heat insulation layer thereon.

CONSTITUTION: A heat color forming composition, for example, a composition combining a compound with the melting point of 100W180°C having a secondary alcoholic hydroxyl group, sulfur and metal inorganic salts or acetates of metal or a composition combining a carbohydrate and a dewatering agent or the like and a binder are applied and dried on a support to form a heat color forming layer, on which fine hollow spherical particles dispersed in a binder and water is applid to form a heat insulation layer. The fine hollow particles herein used are those such as heat expanding fine pellet expanded and fine glass hollow spherical powder or aluminasilicate based fine hollow spherical powder preferably with the particle size of less than 10μm.
