PURPOSE: To obtain an oil-in-water type gel-like cosmetic, excellent in feeling when used and also in, safety and stability without impairing performance of hydrophobic powder by slowly adding a lot of oil phase in which hydrophobic powder is suspended to an aqueous solution.
CONSTITUTION: The objective oil-in-water type gel-like cosmetic containing (A) 0.01-5wt.% nonionic, anionic, cationic or amphoteric surfactant, (B) 0.5-40wt.% water, (C) 40-98wt.% liquid oil, preferably squalane, glycerol di(or tri) ester or a dimethylpoly-siloxane of 4-membered ring or 5-membered ring and (D) 0.01-50wt.% hydrophobic powder (containing powder obtained by subjecting the surfaces of inorganic powder and organic powder to a hydrophobic treatment) and being ≥60wt.%, preferably ≥70wt.% in total blend amount of the components C and D. Each component is preferably blended at amounts of the component A of 0.1-3wt.%, the component B of 2-25wt.%, the component C of 60-90wt.%, the component B of 2-25wt.%, the component C of 60-90wt.% and the component D of 0.1-25wt.%.
