Abstract:
PURPOSE:To shorten the time to shift into the target speed gear by searching through a gear shifting map after the amount of travel of the accelerator pedal is corrected by the function of the rate of the pedal stroking. CONSTITUTION:A control unit has a detection section 12 of the rate of change of the pedal stroking, a correction map 13 and an integrating section 14. A correction amount alpha is computed with the use of a correction map 13 from the rate of change of the pedal stroking dx/dt which is detected by the detection section 12 of the rate of change of the pedal stroking, and such correction amount alpha is added to the accelerator pedal stroking amount (x) in the integrating section 14, the resulting added value being used for searching through the gear shifting map 11. Since the gear shifting map can be searched by a value large than the actual amount of travel by this constitution, the time to shift into the target speed gear can be shortened.
