Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain an amorphous magnetic Co-Fe-Ti-B alloy having superior corrosion resistance, especially high saturation magnetic flux density and small magnetostriction, by substituting Ti for part of B in an amorphous magnetic Co-Fe-B alloy.

CONSTITUTION: This alloy has a composition represented by a formula (Co1-x Fex)aMbTicBd, wherein M is at least one among Cr, Mo, Ni, V, W, Mn, Ru, Rh and Sm, 0≤x≤1, especially x=0, 0.25, 0.97 or 1, 75≤a≤87, 0≤b≤6, 8≤c×12, and 7≤d≤10 (atomic%). The alloy is an amorphous magnetic alloy suitable for use as the material of a magnetic core for a transformer, a magnetic head or the like.
