PURPOSE: To attain to prevent the wrinkle generation and meandering of paper, by attaching the rotary shafts of a paper feed roller and a paper hold-down roller in a slightly inclined state.

CONSTITUTION: A drive shaft 6 and a paper feed roller 7 are integrally formed by an elastic member having stickiness and paper hold-down roller 8 formed so as to be made freely revolvable around a support shaft 9 is constituted of a non- elastic member and brought into contact with the paper feed roller 7 under pressure through paper 5 to be printed. In addition, the support shaft 9 of the paper hold-down roller 8 is slightly inclined with respect to the drive shaft 6 of the paper feed roller 7 toward the paper feed direction C in a downwardly widened state. By the above mentioned mechanism, the removal of wrinkles and the prevention of meandering during the paper feed of a printer can be performed by an extremely simple structure.
