PURPOSE: To obtain a one direction property electromagnetic steel plate which is excellent in its magnetic flux density, by decarburizing and annealing a cold- rolled plate containing a specific quantity of Si, subsequently leaving carbon of a desired quantity, and after that, executing its finish-annealing.
CONSTITUTION: A silicon steel slab containing Si of ≤4% is hot-rolled, and as necessary, is subjected to heat treatment, and after that, it is cold-rolled, by which its final plate thickness is obtained. This cold-rolled steel plate is decarburized and annealed, and subsequently, the atmosphere is adjusted so that the contained carbon quantity is left by 30W200ppm. After that, the finish-annealing is executed by applying a suitable annealing parting agent onto this steel plate. According to this method, it is possible to obtain a one directional property electromagnetic plate which is high in its magnetic flux density and low in its iron loss. This electromagnetic steel plate is used for an iron core material, etc. of large and medium size transformers.
