PURPOSE: To facilitate the assembling operation of a steering gear capble of turning front and rear wheels by connecting a connecting rod for interconnecting a crankpin combined eccentrically with the input shaft interlocked with a steering wheel and a tie rod for steering left and right rear wheels with a connecting rod capable of adjusting its length.

CONSTITUTION: A steering mechanism at the rear wheel side in the heading steering gear is provided with an input shaft 25 rotatably interlocked with a steering wheel not shown. The input shaft 25 is also helped by a power steering gear 32 of a power cylinder with respect to the steering operation. The rotation of the input shaft 25 moves a connecting rod 19 left and right linearly through a connecting rod 28 with a crank pin 27 of a crank mechanism A being pivoted along an arcuate locus to steer the rear wheel through a tie rod 18. In this case, the connecting rod 28 is of a turn-buckle system, and the length of the connecting rod 28 is varied by loothening lock nuts 50, 51 and rotating a screw rod 47 to facilitate the adjusting operation of steering angle for the rear wheel.
