Abstract:
PURPOSE:To allow the safe attracting and fixing of parts, such as optical elements, which are liable to generate failures and strains, the fixing of parts, such as microoptical elements, without pressurizing these parts and the disposition thereof in proximity to other parts by freely attachably and detachably providing a small parts fixing base having an attraction surface and suction hole for attracting the small parts on a fixing base supporting device to which a negative pressure is transmitted. CONSTITUTION:This device is constituted of a negative pressure generator 12, the cylindrical fixing base supporting device 16 having a negative pressure passage 14 at the center and the optical parts fixing base 24 internally having a hollow part 18 and having the optical parts attraction surface 20 and suction hole 22. The optical parts fixing base 24 is used for attracting and fixing the optical parts which are plane on the surface to be attracted, for example, semiconductor lasers 36 of a chip carrier type, etc. The attraction of the optical parts is executed by pinching the optical parts by means of, for example, pincettes, sucking the optical parts into the suction hole 22 where the negative pressure from the negative pressure generator 12 acts and attracting and fixing the optical parts to the optical parts attraction surface 20. Since the optical parts are attracted to the optical parts attraction surface 20 by the negative pressure, the generation of the failure or distortion in these optical parts by the application of an excess pressure is obviated.
