PURPOSE: To obtain the better titled corner section without defect such as distortion by a method wherein a straight strip is cut off over the range intended for a corner section only leaving a glass seal section and then, placed in a split mold into which a rubber is injected.

CONSTITUTION: When molding the corner section of a weather strip 1 for automobiles with a roughly U-shaped welt section 4, a glass seal lip 5 and a wash lip 6, a part of the welt section 4 and the wash lip 6 is locally cut off the molded straight weather strip 1 leaving the glass seal lip 5 from the base with the welt section 4. The cut section 8 is placed into upper and lower split dies M and rubber injected thereinto to mold. This provides a corner section 1a of the weather strip with a welt section 4 and a wash section separately formed from the cut section 8.
