Abstract:
PURPOSE:To increase bit density by respective cylinders by varying the rotating speed of a medium and varying the clock of read/write. CONSTITUTION:When a cylinder check signal S2 is received from a cylinder check circuit 1, a control circuit 3 checks cycle difference between the signal S2 and a reference clock signal S3 and transmits a write/read control signal S4 decided in advance and a spindle motor control signal S5 to a write/read control circuit 4 and a spindle motor control circuit 5 respectively. When the signal S4 is received, the circuit 4 changes the read/write clock into a frequency set in advance. When the signal S5 is received, the circuit 5 changes it into the turning number of a spindle motor decided in advance. Thus, since the rotating speed of the medium is varied and the write/read clock is varied as well, the bit density is increased by respective cylinders.
