Abstract:
PURPOSE:To improve the responsiveness of a system using a static picture disk, by storing one frame of static picture and its address at a part different from a disk recording part and then using them for the on-line retrieval. CONSTITUTION:A static picture retrieving part 2 discriminates whether an address requested via an operation panel 5 or an external interface, etc. is coincident with an address stored at a control part 3. Then a video switching part 6 is switched in response to the coincidence signal. An access is given to a video storage part 4, and the information on one frame of static pictures having a high using frequency of a static picture recording part 1 of a disk, etc. is quickly delivered without retrieving the part 1. In such a way, the responsiveness is improved for a system using a static picture disk.
