PURPOSE: To prevent pressure loss and heating in a molding die by a method wherein around the opening of the supply gate of molding die material such as thermoplastic resin etc., when the forces are separated, a plate cutter for cutting off a gate molding section is fixed to a fixing die to save labor and the cutting edge is sharpened and the diameter of the gate is expanded.
CONSTITUTION: The plate cutter 7 provided with the opening 6 through which the gate 5 penetrates is fixed to the fixing die 1 in a manner that two pieces of ribs 8, 8' are forced into the fitting grooves 9, 9' of the fixing die 1. When the molding process is over, the movable die 2 is separated from the fixing die 1. In this case, the molded body 11 is contrived to be separated from the fixing die 1 followed by the movable die 2 with unnecessary molded pieces such as runner molded pieces etc. Accordingly, the gate molding section 12 is cut automatically by the cutting edge 6a of the plate cutter 7 fixed to the fixing die 1 and unnecessary molded pieces such as a runner molded piece 13 etc. are cut out of the molded piece.
