PURPOSE: To decrease the reduction of the magnetic levitation efficiency and magnetic propulsion efficiency due to a temperature change by providing a positioning means setting the longitudinal position of a longitudinally movable vehicle connecting rod on the coupler of a vehicle levitation-propelled by the magnetic force.
CONSTITUTION: A coupler 1 connecting magnetic levitation propulsion type vehicles together is constituted as a hydraulic cylinder, and the first chamber 21 on a connecting rod 13 side and the second chamber 22 on a connecting plate 18 side are formed in a cylinder tube 11 by the partition of a piston 12. An oil injection port 23 is provided on the first chamber 21 side and a vent port 24 is provided on the second chamber 22 side in the cylinder tube 11. The volume of the first chamber 21 is changed in response to the seal quantity of the operating oil O, the position of the connecting rod 13 against the vehicle can be changed, and the distance (d) between the side face of the end beam F5 of a base frame F and a connecting pin 20 can be adjusted in response to the seal quantity of the operating oil O. The fluctuation of the magnetic circuit pitch for the whole vehicle due to a temperature change is decreased, and the reduction of the magnetic levitation efficiency and magnetic propulsion efficiency of the vehicle can be decreased.
