PURPOSE: To print the profile of a picture with emphasis and simple circuit constitution by forming a changed part signal of the primary color signal with a differentiation circuit, the color signal and the changed part signal by an adder circuit and printing it as a new color signal.
CONSTITUTION: An additive mixing three-primary color video signal is converted into a subtractive mixing three-primary color signal by a converting circuits 1∼ 3 and selected sequentially by a multiplexer 9. Each color signal is added with a changed part signal obtained through a differentiation circuit 10 at an adder circuit 11 and becomes a new color signal. In additng a color signal (b) with a differentiated signal (c), a new signal (d) with emphasized profile is obtained. Thus, a signal emphasizing the profile in addition to the three primary color signals is not required to be formed in print and printed as a block signal, and since three print number of times are enough, the print speed is quickened.
